Full-Circle Collaboration: Three Decades of Queer Theatre Partnership Powering Killer Queen
Brad Cerenzia, Peter Griggs, and Dr. Susan Finque have been artistically involved for over three decades, dating back to their time at Alice B Theatre, one of Seattle’s pioneering LGBTQ+ theatre companies.
In 1990, Brad and Peter co-created with Susan as writer and dramaturg a queer TYA show, “Contents Under Pressure”, which premiered at the 9th Annual Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival in Seattle and toured while Susan served as Artistic Director of Alice B Theatre. This project represents a full-circle moment — a chance to bring Peter’s newest work to life under Susan’s direction, continuing a creative partnership built on trust, innovation, and a commitment to telling bold, necessary stories.
This deep-rooted collaboration ensures that Killer Queen is not just a performance, but a legacy piece, created by artists with a shared vision, history, and dedication to elevating queer narratives onstage.
